Roman
Roman
Foster Location: Kenosha, WI
Age: 7 Months Old
Breed: Catahoula x Pittie Mix
Adoption Fee: $150
WI DATCP License #: 537304Roman is the kind of dog who makes an impression — and then keeps your heart.
At 7 months old and now neutered, Roman has grown into a confident, affectionate, and incredibly loyal young dog. His mismatched eyes — one warm honey brown and one icy blue — turn heads everywhere he goes. But what truly makes him special isn’t just his looks… it’s his spirit.
Roman is fully potty trained, does wonderfully in his kennel, and walks nicely on leash. He checks in with his person often, eager to stay connected and engaged. He thrives on interaction and loves being part of whatever is happening around him.
He does great with other dogs, is gentle and curious with cats, and absolutely adores kids. Roman has a higher energy level and would do best in an active home that enjoys walks, playtime, and continuing his training. He is smart, engaged, and eager to learn.
Roman loves toys — especially balls, ropes, and anything that squeaks. He plays enthusiastically and then happily settles in for cuddle time when the day winds down. He forms strong bonds with his people and will gladly follow you from room to room just to be near you.
When Roman first entered rescue, he was uncomfortable due to flea dermatitis and simply didn’t feel good. With proper medical care, nutrition, and the safety of foster care, he has completely transformed. His skin has healed, his coat is healthy and shiny, and his confidence has flourished.
Roman is resilient, affectionate, and ready for a forever home that will continue to guide him as he grows. He is looking for someone who wants a loyal companion, an adventure partner, and a dog who truly wants to be part of the family.
If you’re ready to meet a young dog full of personality, intelligence, and heart, Roman is ready to meet you.

Rusty
❤️🔥 Rusty ❤️🔥
1 Year Old | Neutered Male | Mixed Breed (best guess)
📍 Fostered in Kenosha, WIRusty is a one-year-old sweetheart with a big personality, an athletic build, and a story that will stay with you. He’s affectionate, smart, and full of life — the kind of dog who brings energy, laughter, and loyalty into a home.
As far as breed goes, we don’t have a DNA test and Rusty isn’t offering up any family records, so we asked the all-knowing AI system. Based on his big upright ears, striking coloring, athletic build, and those famously Husky-coded “I’m judging you” eyes, the best guess is that Rusty is a Husky mix, possibly combined with Shepherd or Australian Kelpie. Whatever the mix may be, one thing is certain: Rusty is 100% good dog.
Rusty is fully housebroken and has excellent manners in the home. He does wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys social play, but we are seeking a cat-free home, as he has a strong interest in chasing them. He is good with kids, though we recommend older children who can match his energetic, playful style.
He is kennel trained and does well on leash. While Rusty uses his crate when his foster parent is away at work, he has proven himself to be very trustworthy and currently free roams at night, usually sleeping peacefully on the couch like he owns the place.
As his breed guesses suggest, Rusty has a high energy level and would thrive with an active family. He loves being outdoors, adores the snow, and takes his toy collection very seriously — especially balls. Rusty will happily chase a ball again and again… and again… and again. (We’re still working on the “drop it” part.)
Rusty is affectionate, loves to snuggle, and is highly motivated by food and treats, which makes him eager to learn and a great candidate for continued training. He is intelligent, engaged, and very ready to keep growing into the best version of himself.
Rusty’s journey
Before coming into foster care, Rusty spent a significant amount of time in a shelter. Prior to that, he was found wandering in a cemetery, where he remained for about a week before a kind woman brought him to safety. We don’t know if the cemetery held meaning from his past or if it was simply a place where he felt comfort — but that chapter of his story deeply touched our hearts. From surviving on his own… to the safety of a shelter… to the warmth of a foster home — Rusty has come so far. Now, he’s ready for the final chapter of his story: a forever home where he will be loved, chosen, and never left behind again.

Shepherd/Lab Mix • Norse Myth Squad
Foster Location: Kenosha, WI
Age/Breed: 12 weeks old • Shepherd/Lab mixMuninn is part of our legendary Norse Myth Squad, and just like his namesake, he’s observant, loyal, and always tuned in to his people. This handsome Shepherd/Lab mix brings together the intelligence of a shepherd and the affectionate, eager-to-please nature of a lab — which means you get brains and heart in one adorable package.
Muninn loves being in the middle of whatever is happening. If there’s activity in the house, he wants a front-row seat. He’s incredibly people-focused and thrives on connection. He also has a soft side — he loves being carried around and even enjoys being swaddled like the baby he still is. Yes, he can be a little high-maintenance… but he is absolutely worth it.
He is kennel trained and actually enjoys his own “room.” When he needs a break, he’ll happily settle in and relax. Muninn is mostly potty trained and consistently chooses to go outside without much coercion. For a 12-week-old puppy, that’s impressive! He’s also working on basic in-home manners like simple commands and walking nicely on a leash.
Muninn does well with other dogs, kids, and cats. With cats, he’s still polishing his manners — he does not hurt them, but he may bark as he continues learning how to respectfully coexist.

Miss. Piggy
Miss. Piggy (“Pig”)
Purebred American Bulldog
Foster Location: Kenosha, WI
Age/Breed: About 4 years old • Spayed Female • Purebred American Bulldog (AKC paperwork)Miss. Piggy — affectionately known in her foster home as “Pig” — is ready for the life she was always meant to have: one where she is loved for who she is, not what she can produce.
Pig came to Mastro Mutts heavily pregnant after being removed from a home where a significant number of dogs were being bred. Because she is a purebred American Bulldog with AKC paperwork, she is highly sought after for breeding purposes. To protect her, we held her longer than normal after she delivered her final litter so she could gain weight, recover, and be spayed. Now that her spay is complete and she has learned how to live as a dog whose purpose is far more than producing babies, Pig is ready to find her forever home with someone who will adore her for the rest of her life.
Pig weighs about 64 pounds, but she is short and stocky — built like a sturdy little bulldog tank. She has the most adorable underbite and the sweetest “snorts,” which is exactly how she earned her name. She also has a few quirks that are likely here to stay. Her kennel is very much her safe space, and it can sometimes take a bit of patience to convince her to come out. Once she’s comfortable, though, she’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest being near her people.
Pig absolutely loves tennis balls and could chase a ball for hours and hours. She walks well on leash and does well with other dogs and kids. She can play a bit rough when she gets excited, so adopters with small children should be aware and plan for supervision during playtime.
One of her favorite daily routines is simply being close. When her foster mom is working at her desk, Pig is usually tucked under it with her head resting on a foot, snoring away contentedly.
Miss. Piggy’s highlights:
About 4 years old, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations
Purebred American Bulldog with AKC paperwork
Loves tennis balls and could play fetch for hours
Walks well on leash
Good with other dogs and kids (can play rough when excited)
Kennel is her safe space and she’s very comfortable in it
Affectionate, loyal, and loves being near her people
Adoption Fee: $375
If you’re looking for a loving, quirky, tennis-ball-obsessed companion who has earned nothing but comfort and devotion, Miss. Piggy may be the perfect match.

Roxie
Roxie
Boxer Mix (and Future Big Girl)
Foster Location: Kenosha, WI
Age/Breed: 12 weeks old • Boxer mix (with paws that suggest she has some serious growing to do)Roxie is 12 weeks old and already making quite the impression. We believe she is part boxer… and part “holy cow, look at those paws.” Those oversized feet are a strong hint that she’s going to grow into a big, beautiful girl.
Roxie is very well socialized and does wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and cats. She is confident, curious, and comfortable in a variety of environments. She is currently working on all the important puppy basics — potty training, leash training, and learning simple commands — and she’s making steady progress.
With a medium to high energy level, Roxie loves to play, especially with rope toys. Tug-of-war is a favorite activity, and she is always ready for a good play session. She can be delightfully floppy and a little clumsy at times as she grows into her long legs and big paws, which only adds to her charm.
Roxie definitely knows she’s adorable and isn’t afraid to show a little boss energy. She enjoys being in charge during playtime, but once the excitement winds down, she is just as happy to cuddle up and soak in affection.
She’s looking for a family ready for an active, playful puppy who will likely grow into a larger companion. With continued training, structure, and lots of love, Roxie is sure to become a loyal and wonderful lifelong best friend.

Branch
Branch
9 Weeks Old | Male | Beagle/Aussie Mix (Best Guess)
Fostered in Kenosha, WIBranch is the kind of puppy who makes you exhale the second you meet him.
At just 9 weeks old, he already has that calm, steady presence that feels like a little breath of fresh air. While many puppies are busy being tiny tornadoes, Branch is more laid back and chill—happy to play, happy to explore, and just as happy to settle in and enjoy the moment. He’s the perfect balance of fun and relaxed.
Branch enjoys playing with his puppy friends and entertaining himself with toys, but he’s not over-the-top. He’s content, gentle, and sweet, with a personality that feels easy to have around. The kind of puppy who will grow into a loyal companion for both adventures and quiet nights at home.
He’s been well socialized and does great with other dogs, kids, and cats. Eddie
Eddie “Big Ed” Spaghetti
Foster Location: Trevor, WI
Age: 13 Weeks Old
Breed: Suspected Great Pyrenees / Anatolian Mix
Adoption Fee: $450
WI DATCP License #: 537304If you’ve ever looked at a puppy and thought, “There’s no way he’s that young,” welcome to the Eddie experience.
At just 13 weeks old, Eddie — lovingly known as Big Ed or Eddie Spaghetti — is already turning heads with his impressive size. When he arrived, we genuinely questioned his age because surely a puppy this substantial couldn’t possibly be so young. The vet confirmed it… he absolutely is. And he’s only going to grow from here.
We suspect Eddie may be a Great Pyrenees mix, possibly with some Anatolian Shepherd in his lineage. His sturdy build and calm, observant nature suggest he may grow into the kind of dog who watches over his family with quiet confidence and steady loyalty.
But here’s the best part — underneath that big frame is the sweetest, gentlest soul.
Eddie does wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and cats. He’s even good with chickens. He has little to no prey drive and prefers supervising the action rather than participating in chaos. If there’s excitement happening around him, Eddie is more likely to observe thoughtfully than jump into the middle of it.
He does well in his kennel (although his foster mom quickly realized she needed a larger size than originally planned). He is currently working on puppy basics including potty training, leash training, and learning his commands. He is smart and willing — just calm about the process.
His energy level is best described as steady and relaxed. He enjoys playing with his favorite ball, but he is not overly rambunctious. Eddie would rather graze on his food throughout the day than rush through a full meal. He’s content to take his time, take it all in, and be near his people.
As he grows, we expect Eddie to become a loving, gentle giant — the kind of dog whose presence alone brings comfort and security. He is affectionate, steady, and incredibly easygoing for such a young pup.
If you’re ready to welcome a future gentle giant into your home, Eddie may be the perfect fit.

WI DATCP License #: 537304Mac is one half of the “Mac & Cheese” boys — and he is pure joy on four paws.
This handsome pup is labeled as an Aussie mix, but based on his build and overall vibe, we believe there may be a larger breed in his mix as well. Mac has that big-dog confidence even as a baby, and we expect him to grow into a solid, family-sized best friend.
Mac has been very well socialized and does wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and cats. He loves people and greets his humans with the kind of excitement that makes you feel like the most important person in the world. He has a high energy level and absolutely loves toys of every kind. If it can be tossed, squeaked, rolled, or carried around proudly, he’s all in. Fetch is quickly becoming a favorite game, and he’s always ready for one more throw.
Mac is currently working on puppy basics including potty training, leash training, and learning his basic commands. He’s doing very well with his potty habits, especially for his age, and is showing signs that he will be very close to house trained with continued consistency. He is also expected to do well with kennel training, as he’s already demonstrating good control and is not having constant accidents.
One of the best parts about Mac is that while he is playful and high-energy, he also settles nicely when needed. When his humans have to leave, he does a good job calming down, and he’s learning to entertain himself and rest. He’s just starting to enjoy cuddling and belly rubs, but he’s also perfectly comfortable taking naps on his own — a great sign of a puppy who can balance companionship with independence.
With continued training and a structured routine, Mac is going to grow into a loving, playful, cuddly family dog — the kind of companion who will keep life active and fun, then happily curl up at the end of the day.

Cheese
Cheese
Foster Location: Burlington, WI
Age: 13 Weeks Old
Breed: Labeled Aussie Mix (we suspect there may be some larger breeds in his mix)
Adoption Fee: $450
WI DATCP License #: 537304Cheese is one half of the adorable “Mac & Cheese” duo — and he is exactly what his name suggests: warm, comforting, and impossible not to love.
At 13 weeks old, this fluffy boy is already showing signs that he may grow into more than your typical Aussie mix. Based on his current size, we believe there may be some larger breed influence in his background, which means he will likely grow into a solid, active family companion.
Cheese is very well socialized and does wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and cats. He genuinely enjoys being around others and thrives in a social environment. Whether he’s playing with canine friends or soaking up attention from his people, he’s happiest when he’s part of the action.
He has a high energy level and absolutely loves toys. Balls, ropes, stuffies — if it’s a toy, he’s interested. He even “plays fetch” with the other dogs — meaning he lets them retrieve the toy and proudly accepts it when they bring it back. It’s a system that works well for him.
While in his foster home, Cheese is working on potty training, kennel training, leash training, and basic obedience. He is making steady progress and, with continued structure and consistency, is expected to grow into a well-mannered and reliable companion.
Despite his playful energy, Cheese has a wonderfully affectionate side. He is an ultimate cuddler and a dedicated belly-rub enthusiast. He will happily sit and soak up belly rubs for as long as you’re willing to provide them. He enjoys affection and is beginning to show just how connected he wants to be with his people.
With proper training and guidance, Cheese will grow into a loving, active, and loyal family dog — the kind who keeps life fun but always makes time for snuggles.

Frank
Frank
Foster Location: Union Grove, WI
Age: 16 Weeks Old
Breed: Suspected Boxer / Pittie Mix
Adoption Fee: $450
WI DATCP License #: 537304Frank may be small right now, but his heart is anything but.
At 16 weeks old, Frank is a sweet, affectionate puppy who is still figuring out the world — and he wants to do it right by your side. We believe he may be a Boxer/Pittie mix, giving him that lovable, people-focused personality with just the right amount of playful energy.
Frank has been well socialized and does wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and cats. He enjoys being part of the action but is just as happy curling up next to his favorite person when things slow down.
He does well in his kennel when needed and is currently working on potty training, leash training, and learning basic commands. Like any young puppy, he’s still learning, but he is making steady progress and responds well to guidance and consistency.
Frank enjoys chewing on bones and playing with stuffed toys. He has a curious streak and likes to wander and explore his surroundings, occasionally discovering something new (and sometimes something he probably shouldn’t chew). With continued structure and supervision, he will continue to grow into a well-mannered companion.
One of Frank’s most endearing qualities is how much he loves staying close to his person. He is affectionate, cuddly, and happiest when he’s near someone he trusts. He may be small now, but he has an incredible amount of love to give and will grow into a devoted family dog.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving puppy who will stick by your side and grow with your family, Frank could be the perfect fit.

Moon is well socialized and does wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and cats. She enjoys being part of the action and thrives in a social environment.
Moon has a higher energy level and loves to play. Her favorite toys include pink tennis balls (she has very specific taste), bones, and her stuffed badger. She especially enjoys playing fetch and will happily chase her pink tennis ball again and again. Exploring the yard and proudly carrying around sticks is also high on her list of favorite activities.
After her bursts of zoomies and playtime, Moon is more than happy to settle down and cuddle. She has a loving, affectionate side and enjoys being close to her people once she’s burned off her puppy energy.
She does well in her kennel and is making excellent progress with potty training, leash training, and learning basic commands. Moon is very treat motivated, which makes training both effective and enjoyable. She is eager to learn and responds well to positive guidance and consistency.
